The days are running too fast

and I'm sorry I couldn't reach to visit

you all that I would like to

Yesterday I bought some new papers to draw/paint on

but I was disappointed

as I thought they were for aquarelles

but it's called cartridge paper

It's too smooth

but I tried to draw and paint

this *woman in the wind*

the idea I got from

Jane Davenport

but now I cannot find back to her special piece of painting

but take a look at her blog

she has wonderful paintings

Also I must thank Tamara Laporte

for teaching me

I've learned a lot from her

She is wonderful too

But I have so much left to learn

and practising is the best way to learn

I bought a new black pen

called Pigma brush

archival ink

I've painted the eyes with that pen

Paint Party Friday, week 32, year 2 # 10

Hello again, a new Friday
well, it is now early Saturday here

and I join in again :)

with my graphite pencil drawings
Lately I've drawn some different graphite pieces
and I quite like to draw with just a pencil
and smooth it out with a dry paintbrush
I use a round synthetic brush for that
and not to forget the kneaded eraser
to make some lighter spots

Graphite pencil drawing

This is one of my first drawings 

with only a graphite pencil and water

AND an eraser to make the white areas

 shot with my camera at night

ie absent of daylight

 shot in daylight, this one and the one under

I never use to fix my photos on this blog

in any photo editing program

because it can make the shadows etc different from the original

however, so can the camera and light do

due to daylight and indoor lamps at night

sunny weather

cloudy weather

it can affect the shadows and colors

it can affect a face to look a little

or quite different from the original

sometimes it might even help to edit the photos 

to make it look more like the original

or maybe the best way to make it most real

ie same as the original

is to scan the piece of the drawing?

However

I never do any edit on my photos 

considering my art blog

except 

I can get them digitally framed

sometimes

as this photo and the first photo

but 

I have a photo blog also

and there I use to edit the photos

quite often..

I just do love them! =)

 You never know what you'll meet

when you walk in the woods

a silent conversation

when it's dark outside

I feel more comfortable with the one taken at night

On a simple sketch paper

 I started to draw a face

 with a black pen

named

"Fountain Pentel  JM20MB"

and with water to fade out

besides some dried flowers

and some finishing

with a graphite pencil

to make some deeper shadows

When you are upset

 When you are upset

about something

it's a good way to get it out

just to draw

and paint ;)

I didn't want the white background

so I ended up with this :)

quite a contrast!

beacause to be upset in the mountains

just does not fit in

BUT

let's say

there are 2 ways getting OUT of  frustrations:

1: to paint and/or to draw

2: to hike in the mountains and/or in the woods

I made this last month

Yes I can now say last month

as we already have October here!
