Paint Party Friday, week 7, year 5 #43

Still I haven't been able to visit you
too bad
I claim the weather, too much sun and summer hot,
 the latest week.
But today it rains
so there might be a chance for computer life hereafter.. :))

My contribution

 I started here
on my gelli plate
with some acrylics

and I suddenly saw a face
and started to paint what I saw

the blackground was painted light bluish green

I always take photos of my art work with my phone
and they do not come out with exact colors as the original painting
and also it depends on whether I take a photo in daylight or
at night (with electric lights)
below is taken by night
I will say the original is more as above,
taken in the daylight
only it does not get that bright colors as in the original

Hair painted with acrylics (on a gelli plate)
Background: neo colors II (watersoluble)
Skin tone: Ceramcoat acrylic/Santas flesh
Eyes: Derwent inktense pencils and Marvy Metallics marker/copper
Lips: Derwent inktense pencil
Highlights: white acrylic and some white Uni poscha pen
The black pencil for outlines and details is Derwent tinted charcoal

Paint Party Friday, week 6, year 5 #42

Paint Party Friday again!
Time is running fast
and I have not had time to visit you all
Hoping for better time the coming days

This piece I've painted mostly with watercolors
The face with acrylic paint (Ceramcoat santa flesh).
For eyes and lips I usually use paint pens or/and
watercolors.
For highlights white acrylic paint or gesso
And a waterproof black pen.
For the hair I've used distress stain
The outline of the face is acrylic (Amsterdam oxide black)
tha background started with watercolors
and refinished with a thin layer of acrylics (Golden Manganese Blue Hue)

I'm impressed by myself for once that I really remember what paint I used :))

I all time mix different paints no matter type or brand....

and here is where I started from

Paint Party Friday, week 5, year 5

My contribution

I have bought some cheap watercolors
(the brand of Grene Art)
and I really like them
It was so fun to paint with them
Sometimes when I use acrylics
I feel guilty for polluting the environment
This time I tried my new watercolors
the dress was first painted with watercolors
then acrylics (Golden)
I also put a layer with acrylics in the end (the sea)
Manganese Blue Hue (Golden)
lovely transparent
I'm not used to paint with watercolors
but I hope I will get to
I always use different sort of paints in one piece
regardless of brands

This was my start of the piece
