Still I haven't been able to visit you
too bad
I claim the weather, too much sun and summer hot,
the latest week.
But today it rains
so there might be a chance for computer life hereafter.. :))
My contribution
I started here
on my gelli plate
with some acrylics
and I suddenly saw a face
and started to paint what I saw
the blackground was painted light bluish green
I always take photos of my art work with my phone
and they do not come out with exact colors as the original painting
and also it depends on whether I take a photo in daylight or
at night (with electric lights)
below is taken by night
I will say the original is more as above,
taken in the daylight
only it does not get that bright colors as in the original
Hair painted with acrylics (on a gelli plate)
Background: neo colors II (watersoluble)
Skin tone: Ceramcoat acrylic/Santas flesh
Eyes: Derwent inktense pencils and Marvy Metallics marker/copper
Lips: Derwent inktense pencil
Highlights: white acrylic and some white Uni poscha pen
The black pencil for outlines and details is Derwent tinted charcoal

That hair is fantastic! Love it ♥
fun that you saw a face.
the hair color and background are wonderful together. I like her flyaway hair, that would make a fun hat too.
such a charming piece.
Beautiful work! Valerie
Wow I loved seeing how you start with a gelli print and moved through to creating this wonderful image. Awesome art. I'd love to invite you to share it on my page.

She is so vibrant and very striking Viola-love her!
Stunning artwork - love the hair Viola - have a great weekend
Gorgeous...I kind of like the different tones of colours and the different mood they each exude!! All beautiful!

Stilig! Å lage en masse og så lete etter motiver er gøy :-) Her har du fått en flott dame ut av det, imponerende! Du er god til å legge lyset riktig, det blir levende og det blir 3D, godt jobbet!
Regnværsklem herfra :-)
That's awesome, and a talent I wish I had. By the way, it snows almost every May at my house, and occasionally even in June, but that's because we're so far up in the sky!
How amazing that you saw a face in your red gelli plate print. It made fantastic red hair and the end result is super. I was quite fascinated to read the list of materials you used on top of the red and background.
Wow, gorgeous work!!!!
Smiles, Saskia :)
Wonderful painting and I LoVe your process!
love her hair - it's still a great color and shape. I kind of like the night shot coloring a little more than the daylight.
